I wish it was limited to FAANG, but no - even my smallish 300 person company is investing millions into corpo AI services and expecting employees to get on board.
Decision makers here are so confident they are already reducing headcount while expecting the remaining employees to “use AI” (without further elaboration) to pick up the slack, going so far to say if employees are not using AI daily, they are directly responsible for stifling team productivity.
I sincerely hope my employer just sucks and this isn’t the way the world is trending.
