She is so fucking angry at Disney and absolutely unrepentant about it. I love it. Stay real, Dana.
If you want to support Dana Terrace and independent animation, go check out her new adult animated series Knights of Guinevere, made with Glitch Productions.
Pilot episode here; https://youtu.be/MCAdbUaMlAE
If you like darkly comedic scifi horror, it’s well worth checking out.
It’s also very explicitly about how Disney has descended into a purely capitalist and anti-human entity.
There’s a scene where a giant robot knight stabs the crap out of a giant ball that looks like the Epcot Center.
Mistreat your altar boys long enough, and this is what you get.Descended into it? You do understand what Disney’s always been right. I mean obviously you don’t if you have this type of comment.
descended
lol
Fine
scended
The Owl House is also fantastic. You can find the entire series on the high seas with little effort.
Can confirm, this was a good pilot.
Immediately hooked, but where’s the rest. 😭 I know I know, it’s done when it’s done…
Yeah, Glitch’s whole thing is they work on their own time. Quality over quantity. Which is rough when you’re absolutely jonesing for that next episode of The Amazing Digital Circus and have no idea when you’re going to get it.
(If you like the dark humour and “Childish whimsy as a source of horror” elements, The Amazing Digital Circus may be worth you checking out. Same studio, different creative team, very different art style, but really good blend of laugh out loud funny and oh God no that’s fucking creepy)
Ye, love it, too. Can’t wait for the inevitable abstracting.
Well, the creator is suggesting you pirate them.
They’re well worth the watch. The series is complete already, and has been for several years. There’s a few little mini-shorts and little spinoffs, but the main story arc was fully completed.
It’s a solid series, and has a lot of similarities to Adventure Time, if you liked that.
They are talking about Knight of Guinevere, I think, not Owl House. Of which there’s only a pilot.
ah, gotcha, my b
We were discussing Dana’s new, independent show, Knights of Guinevere.
But yes, The Owl House is phenomenal.
Oh good, it’s on Xitter and Youtube. Neither of which I can access without an account.
it be available on the seas as well, if you’re sailing
You can’t access YouTube without an account?

I’ve had that happen before, and I don’t know exactly why, but it’s not consistent. It may happen if you are connecting via a VPN server that they’ve flagged. Switching servers and clearing cookies and whatnot ought to clear it up.
I’m not interested in clearing it up. If YT doesn’t want me to watch videos on their platform, that’s fine, I won’t. I just wish creators would upload their content somewhere else that isn’t behind a corporate account wall.
It’s likely a region or IP range thing. I find that when I’m on a VPN, YouTube will regularly complain like this. I just keep switching countries until one works.
Are you on a work device? Seen that when using on certain corporate networks
No.
What’s the AI in Disney he’s referring to?
From the cross post https://pawb.social/comment/18993329
AI is going to give us the ability to do, is to provide users of Disney+ with a much more engaged experience, including the ability for them to create user-generated content and to consume user generated content
Soooo AI generated fan fiction
That’s a door Disney doesn’t want to open. Once we get Micky fucking Elsa, they will spend billions trying to prevent the AI from creating it.
Nah just gotta open a shell company that then invests in a small startup that specializes in Disney ai r34
Then Disney can sue them to get both of their names in the news flooding the site with users
gooby pls
I was going to suggest Gooney Toons, but that would be Warner Bros :p
Wait until we get licensed Dolan and Gooby.
pls
Disney+ is apparently going to allow AI gen user content.
I see this gimmick lasting a whole month or two before it massively backfires. Either through massive compute costs or from fucked up user creations causing a disastrous PR incident.
One step ahead of ya Dana
I’m missing context, did Disney start running Gen AI stuff?
Edit: Disregard found my answer in another comment.
Sometimes creative people don’t give a fuck about the price, and that’s great!
