I pick up the newspaper and everyday there’s a new horrible story about him that’s somehow become trite since all this oaf does is disparage other, loaf about, and take what he can from others to engorge himself. He’s ruining this country in every way, shape, and form but somehow he has millions of cult followers. He’s above any punishment yet forces us to suffer his existence like some sort of sick, kafkaesque joke. This absolute piece of shit has no redeeming qualities and yet we let him keep breathing air. It’s impossible to scroll online without seeing his gross orange face pop up on screen. I swear if I hear him say “I hate Mondays” or “I love lasagna” one more time I am going to lose it. Save us from this Garfieldian agony.

Only if it’s from natural causes. In case you hadn’t figured it out sooner, he’d otherwise become a martyr. You think the Charlie Kirk stupidity is bad? Imagine how bad it world be if the cult’s object of worship was popped. Such a martyrdom would give the cult something to rally around after his end. If he dies naturally, however, the cult is FAR more likely to descend into infighting with a side of conspiracy theory, and tear itself apart as all the horrible people tried to scramble for whatever they could get by stomping on each other. Cults are complex monsters but have ways to survive the death of their leaders.

i don’t get people who celebrate or are happy that someone is dead when it comes from a place of hate.

Is it not cause to celebrate that the figurehead of one’s source of ire is eliminated?

Like, let’s pretend for a moment he isn’t human, not because he’s a disgusting vampire but because for this analogy he can’t be.

So like, let’s pretend for a moment that 10 years ago a robot, who’s programming is visible to the whole public, was elected to office. That robot has one goal, increase the GDP. Nevermind that GDP is a bad metric, nevermind that no intelligent programmer would design such a machine this machine was not borne of intelligence, it was borne of the desire to raise the GDP.

Ok, so President Robot decides the very first thing we need to do to raise the GDP, is start deporting anyone that doesn’t look like president Robot’s programmed self image, something like this 🎃. If your smile isn’t creepy enough, and you don’t have enough ridges on your head, president robot says you’re up next for deportation. Nevermind that you’ve been here your whole life, nevermind that your parent’s came here 40 years ago. You don’t have ridges and a creepy smile, get on the plane. Dont like it? Ok protest.

So, its been 8 years, president Robot’s team of robots managed to change the metrics by which it is determined who becomes the next leader. This was of course, done quietly and accross many places. President Robot’s team is thorough of course, and has managed to make the new minimum threshold to take office only around 45%, that’s WAY less than what they needed before. So now, president Robot can be re-elected using only the robots made to keep president robot in power instead of needing real people who need to be convinced because they have “needs” and “families” and “rent to pay”.

So when president robot suddenly, after years of the whole country saying “You’re neglecting president Robot’s maintenance” finally seizes up and can’t pump oil through it’s clogged cooling and lubrication system, I’m sure people will celebrate. NOT because the Robot is dead. NOT because they hate the robot. But because the Robot can’t hurt them anymore.

i get the hate for trump, hes putting tarriffs on my country, but i dont want to see him dead, even my worst enemies i don’t want dead. I don’t believe i have the right to end someone’s life, the only time id get close to that is in self defense if its justified.

To many, something like that does look like self defense right about now. Unfortunately the situation appears quite dire from within, I’m afraid someone will do something and make things worse with martyrization. I can’t say I won’t celebrate when I hear the news that his McDonalds encrusted veins couldn’t do the job anymore and he keeled over in the night (because I’m almost certain that’s how its going to happen)

No, I hope he gets very old and can serve all jail he gets in dark seclusion. With speakers on the walls that play very loud facts about his evilness.

I think that’s a key of all this, the realization that the misery doesn’t end with Trump. If he fell off the face of the earth tomorrow, there would be a power vacuum while his previous sycophants vied to be a replacement but likely none of them have the control over the base that he had. Someone worse will rise up that no one saw coming.

The thing is, dark money and Russian disinformation have installed a political machine in place that Trump is just the face of. As the face of this he has disturbed institutions of government and American life, as well as globally, which I think will take years to repair. It’s a global far right power grab, so even if he does die, there’s still a lot to fix.

However it’s his peculiar charisma that for whatever reason these people respond to in ways that they don’t to traditional dyed in the wool Republicans like Romney or McCain that is why they’ve been so successful, and when he dies finding a replacement for him will be difficult for them. The journalist Maggie Haberman says the way he will go into a room of these people and charm everyone in there is genius, really, even though his terrible personality is what his campaign was based on, really. He makes them laugh, my Canadian coworker who isn’t in any way a MAGA still likes him because he makes her laugh, which makes no sense because he’s not funny, but it’s the shock of him openly being what all of them really are underneath, racist and hateful and bigoted, that seems funny, I think anyway. His weird appeal probably can’t be replicated by anyone else.

So in my opinion him dying will have a major impact on the success of this political monstrous machine they’ve created, without question, but they’ve wrecked a lot of things along the way that will take a lot to restore, and my guess is that the Democrats will just let some things stay as they are.

Here’s a little something else to think of. The government is shut down, so the purse strings are closed. And yet, a private “donation” is being given to the military. By a man who apparently has a problem with Venezuela. At the same time the world’s most powerful warship, along with its associated battle group, has been pulled out of Europe to go play drug cop in the Caribbean Sea.

Joking aside, I do always celebrate when Republicans die. I’m basically exactly the type of person they pretend is the average leftist, even though 90% (or more) of folks are normal and don’t wish death on their enemies.
