If people distrust LLMs, and LLMs sound bookish, then anyone who reads books is going to sound like an LLM, whereas the illiterate assholes are going to sound human in the same way that LLMs aren’t going to piss and poop their pants like a human is capable of doing

However, your main point definitely still stands - I only have to think back to school in the 80s/90s to where we quickly learnt to pretend to be stupider than we were. “Knowing too much” out loud and in public, was certainly one of the offences worthy of a beating from your peers.
Oddly, it was acceptable to answer things correctly if questioned directly ny a teacher, as long as you “just naturally knew them” rather than “actually tried hard and studied”.
For a lot of people, that attitude didn’t disappear in adulthood.

It’s actually gotten to the point that I’ve been using voice to text typing, more so than I’ve actually just been typing with my fingers. The reason for that, it sounds far more natural if I just say it out loud. If I’m actually typing things out, people just go, oh, you are either autistic or robot.

I’m irked by the neurodivergent talk as what you described is more-so nonconformity than autism, and these two get wrongfully conflated. There is a bias that there is something wrong or inferior with nonconformists, such as mental illness, learning/intellectual disabilities. IMO many nonconformits are more sane than those who obey our very, very sick and morbid society, including mundane & arbitrary things like the taste or aesthetics of how a conversation should “look” like.
Speaking of how an conversation ought to “look” like, The word look (👀) implies “to see with eyes”, and lust is related to the eyes, hence this emoji (😍);and this one (🤩). Lust is irrational and leads to many ill-ends, and the disgust or contept related to merely the look of someone’s response, rather than its logic, is identical to this sort of ill-ended lust, or aesthetic taste, or word-fetish.
I understand this is a bit of a sensitive topic but I wasn’t being prescriptive or condoning mistreatment, just descriptive, and this problem disappears when you’re talking to people IRL. Also, you can disagree/be non conformist and still come off “non-LLMy”.
