I tried to search a list of companies that have avoided, eschewed, or decided against using AI. Basically I hoped to find any corporate resistance. All the search engines did was feed me drivel about how companies that don’t go 100% in on AI will be left behind. I was hoping to fill out my portfolio with some non-AI companies that have a chance at surviving the bubble. I managed to tweak my search and get a few useful results about companies who rolled back some AI changes that crashed hard.
The fucking AI groupie brigade is so annoyingly omnipresent. They won’t be happy until we’re all choking to death on the fumes of our own AI-powered farts.
Does Mojeek count?
I’m pretty sure they’re being told to do so by the company’s investors. The same investors that invested money on AI.
AI could easily replace CEOs
A roll of the dice could replace CEOs.
They like the idea of AI and how it can magically fix all problems. Managers hear this and they in turn suggest AI as a solution for all problems without any idea how to implement it and if it even makes any sense.
Well, by “fix all problems” what they really mean is “keep all the money for ourselves and not pay employees” since the problem they’re trying to solve is just wages.
It can fix all of the CEOs problems, and most of the managers problems. It can summarize text, and generate believable bullshit.
That’s why they don’t understand why it won’t solve the workers’ problems.
They have no idea what you do.
Its almost like the C-suite dont know shit other than being paid, shortsightedness, cutting costs, and unwanted initiatives to boost their resume.
Finally, someone willing to write the important bits.
“In the end, whether it’s(AI) worth the hassle likely depends on which rung of the corporate ladder you occupy.”
“Why isn’t this working? The AI said it was a good idea and that I am a genius for thinking of it!”

Doesn’t matter. Their attitude is that they’ll make so much money when they finally “get it right,” they’re gonna keep trying the “throw it at the wall, and see what sticks” approach until they finally hit the jackpot or go bust…
I’m betting on go bust.
Whats that? Oh, I can’t hear you over the sound of every single big company trying to use AI to replace human jobs, and it ending in disaster!
Nah, having to keep making enough of a short-term profit to keep their shareholders on board will provide something of a limiting factor - but they will still keep at it on a smaller scale until they get there.
