The greatest metabolic problem in the United States, obesity, has strong ties to the addictive hyperpalatable ultraprocessed foods high in simple sugars and fats that comprise the majority of the Standard American Diet, and he’s not made any mention of it, let alone take any action to address it.

Actually that’s one of the few positive angles Kennedy campaigned on: fighting ultra processed foods.

I don’t know about action, but it’s at least the idea behind MAHA.

He has a lot of good thoughts, but the problem is that he always drags them into crazy land. That and they’re overshadowed by his stupid and dangerous thoughts.

He’s basically the personification of, “A broken clock is right twice a day.”

I dunno why you are getting downvoted. This is a core tenant of MAHA.

The antivaxx pseudoscience and mass firings are unforgivable, and action on the food end is slow, but still.

Yeah. ‘The right action for the absolute wrong reasons’ is a common theme I guess.

I was similarly struck by the visceral reaction against the Intel deal on Lemmy, which I personally understand a lot more about.

Seed oils are fine though, and have made processed foods better than they used to be. Fighting against artificial food dyes was the major win he pushed for.

My local co-op is covered in rainbow flags and support signage, and I’m seeing more and more white men, young and old, cowboy boot wearing, steel toe or running shoes, even one with a supremacist tattoo on his arm, meat head looking fellas,

asking about the raw milk that comes in there and when is it delivered as it is gone very fast.

We had white men in there of course prior, but these guys I’m seeing more and more of, are … different. They really want that raw mommy udder milk juice.

Hyperpalatable is a new one for me. Overall I think it’s going to be a hard sell to convince people that “food that tastes less good” will be much of a motivation.

As a mom, I think that having a lifestyle where both parents didn’t have to rely on multiple jobs and overtime to survive would allow families to enjoy life and not have to seek out bursts of dopamine from the foods they eat as a bandaid.

He’s done a little good with the maha movement, but it’s still a lot of negative in that movement. Nothing was major though about reducing sugar or fats though.

RFK is literally a child murderer

Schatz recounted the story of how Kennedy traveled to Samoa in 2019 to discourage people from taking the measles vaccine which ultimately led to an outbreak in which thousands of people were infected and 83, mostly children, died.

“It is so chilling to contemplate the idea that someone as recognizable as a Kennedy would fly across an ocean to a small, developing country and basically tell everybody, ‘Be afraid of this lifesaving medicine’,” Schatz concluded.

It’s the chicken and the egg thing. People get worms from eating bear meat, and he got worms and was known to kill bears because he was crazy. Wait, nope; no chicken or egg I guess, just was always crazy. Because the worms couldn’t have been what caused him to start eating bear meat. Could be why he put his kids in trash bags and put dead marine carcuses on his vehicle and drove down the road with his kids being splattered in blood and guts though… Hard to tell the order there though. Worms or marine animals, we may never know

His family literally came together and penned a letter to America warning us about him before the 2024 election.

That’s the kind of freak this guy is.

But Americans are too stupid to listen to reason. So here we are.

RFK had a book published some time back in which he reveals he doesn’t believe in germ theory. Germ theory. This should have automatically disqualified him from doing anything that gives him decision making powers dealing with health, and medicine.

That is what a theory is, lay terms are different. Yes doctors do still use germ theory of disease. Because people don’t use these words right, doesn’t mean that is not how they are used.

He’s a conspiracy nut and believes in quack medicine.

A sentence like that sounds like something my mom would say when talking about some semi-common chronic condition passed down onto humanity from some ancient long gone super advanced culture that only crystals and collodial silver can heal that “mainstream medicine” refuses to accept due to… Dogma… Or big pharma… Or some combination of those two.

And he genuinely thinks once the news is out. There’s going to be purge style violence against pharma and Healthcare workers for “poisoning their kids”
