undermines your intellectual development… always boring, banal, and average…

    Pseudo-science and phony absolutes.

I understand that this person’s job might be threatened by generated content, but that just makes their false claims even more suspect.

    environmentally destructive

The only legitimate point is buried at the end.

Generative transformers are specifically trained to model the statistical landscape of natural language and use that model to predict the next word in a sequence, i.e. the most statistically-likely next token. Their output is, by definition, average.

That’s the entire point of LLMs: to produce output that’s indistinguishable from the average.

Instagram is full of these boring, lifeless AI written descriptions that I am getting closer and closer to digitally upload myself just to beat these silly AI-written slop. There is no syntax in these combobulations. Like, literally no life. Now I know the feeling of the character at the end of Black Mirror episode “Be Right Back” and why one would want something real. If any tyrannical government agencies or secret police wants to torture someone, reading AI slop for eternity will be the ultimate torture to end all tortures.

Anyone else suspect the text was generated by AI & expect a twist at the end criticizing its own boring, average banality to reinforce the point only to be disappointed it didn’t come?
