The GOP are an embarrassment and a stain on the Earth.

60k people on the island if I recall. I think each rep usually reps 600k or so but not sure. So one rep if they round up. Way up.

They do round up, so in the very unlikely event of this ever passing - it would be given one congressman and two senators. All three would be Dems, so this will never happen.

It’s just pure rage bait, intended to distract away from the Epstein Files, Venezuela, and Renee Goode.

1 cosponsor. Ok sure. This bill goes nowhere, like the rest of them.

Any outlet that covers legislation at the point of introduction is just trying to scare you. Well over 90% of bills never even leave the committee stage. Without signs of support from others in congress, an introduced bill has less weight than a press release.

If you see the words “introduces bill” in a headline just ignore it the article is trash, solely intended to mislead.

I almost want them to do it because +1 Congressman and +2 Senators. Annexing Greenland won’t go the way they think it will.

It’d just become another territory with no representation I’m sure, like Puerto Rico or American Samoa.

Poison the shoreline and fresh water. The natives rely entirely on the sea. The mining will despoil the hell out of it, and the armed forces poisons any area just to give contracts to their pals to sell the shit in effect.

The reason Republicans block DC statehood is because the District votes Democratic, and they don’t want to give the Democrats more seats in Congress. How do they think Greenlanders would vote if conquered by Donald Trump?

US: “So, Denmark, free for next Tuesday?”

Denmark: “February works better for us. Second Friday of the month?”

US: “No can do, torturing children that day…”

This gigantic piece of shit is the guy who was pals with political pedos, randomly explodes in crazy tirades, and has been held in contempt of court multiple times, including just yesterday for violent behavior. Also ordered to take an anger management course.

    Total piece of shit.

DC, Puerto Rico, Samoa, Guam, US Virgin Islands, if you want a 51st state, there are better options that don’t require starting a world war with our closest allies.

Wants to skip to the end. Does the declaration also include a declaration of war? That’s what this will mean

It’s especially weird that Trump isn’t the only one in the US government who’s batshit insane.

I still can’t quite believe it’s real. I’ve always been a cynic and always expected the worst of the government, but this is so far, and in such an unexpected direction, beyond anything I expected.

We really are governed by demented morons.

It’s been increasing for many decades. The reason Trump is still in office is because the legislature has such a high percentage of crazies in it.

Honestly if this is unexpected, you haven’t been paying close enough attention for a decade or two. Or more.

Oh right - of course it was plain as day that in a few years, the US would elect a deranged, delusional sociopath with the emotional development of a toddler who would, among other things, appoint the world’s richest middle-aged teenage edgelord to a make-believe cabinet position as head of a department named for a 4chan meme from which he would methodically destroy every agency that might stand in the way of the wholesale economic rape of the American people, throw a public tantrum over not receiving a Nobel Peace Prize for his complete and utter failure to negotiate peace anywhere, kidnap the President of Venezuela and appoint himself President in his place, and threaten to invade and forcibly annex Greenland, mostly in order to divert attention from the ongoing failure to complete the court-ordeted release of documents that would certainly prove that he’s a child rapist.

It’s so obvious. How could I have missed it?
