Seriously. I know when to use it’s vs its. If I meant to type we’re instead of were, I would have. Stop it!

I wish I could dial it back without turning it off completely.

I’m going to leave it for the sake of humor, but in my rant about autocorrect it didn’t change tyring to trying…

It knows what I was saying about it. Lol

Some alternative keyboards allow displaying autocorrect suggestions without replacing the input automatically. If you’re on Android and don’t use swipe-typing, you can try some open-source keyboards, e.g. from this list. (Swipe-typing is still pretty bad in open-source; and idk how the situation is on iPhone.)

Usually you can tell it not to autocorrect into certain words. I don’t think any keyboard I know let’s you filter for apostrophes.

Edit: FUTO keyboard at least lets you dial it back.

I really like futo keyboard and have been using it for months, but why the fuck does it think I want to type KYJREW when I was trying to type like? Who even put KYJREW in a dictionary?

          Remove it from suggestions?

For me, the funny thing (not with futo, but something else) is that Finnish input dictionary seems to be… let’s say uncensored. I’ve removed a ton of words that I would never use. It still makes some interesting suggestions now and then

            Remove it from suggestions?

I have removed hundreds of acronyms over the last few months.

English dictionary I’d pretty heavily censored.
