A federal appeals court on Wednesday blocked Michigan’s ban on conversion therapy for minors who are LGBTQ+, declaring it violates the First Amendment rights of therapists and counselors.
In a 2-1 opinion, the court said the law illegally restricts speech that reflects the moral beliefs of therapists. It set aside a lower court’s ruling and granted a preliminary injunction sought by Catholic Charities of Jackson, Lenawee and Hillsdale Counties.
“The Michigan law discriminates based on viewpoint — meaning the law permits speech on a particular topic only if the speech expresses a viewpoint that the government itself approves,” Judge Raymond Kethledge wrote, joined by Judge Joan Larsen.
So does this mean that basically all licensing requirements are also struck down? Can I open my bloodletting and phrenology practice?

Calling it conversion “therapy” is validating it. Call it for what it is - torturing and often murdering gay kids.

Those judges are very likely child molestors. The only people who would be er advocate for gay conversion therapy are either extremely stupid or actual child abusers. The U.S government and I imagine many other governments are full of them. You can see the entire government coordinating to cover up a massive pedophile ring and this isn’t even the first one in recent memory. This happens over and over again and has been happening for decades.
In the future this will likely be remembered in the history books as the great trans vs molestor war. Trans people were being victimized until the entire society rose up collectively to start systematically destroying centuries of pedophile governments trying to molest and abuse the entire world. The looks on their faces will be amazing as they great numbers of their fellow pedophiles are brought to true justice and getting interrogated in the streets as their evil pedo empire crumbles and humanity finally breaks away and reaches its potential and creates an inclusive utopia without abusers in it.
