Age gaps in relationships doesn’t = pedophilia. Some people are attracted to milfs and dilfs.

there’s plenty of other ways to make fun of this pudgey cunt with the brain of a vibrating dildo that doesn’t have a full charge.

This comment would work so much better without the misogyny. Hating evil people because they’re evil is so easy to do.

I think the issue is fat shaming doesn’t actually make people fix their problems. I agree people are too fat generally. I just don’t think insulting them helps. It’s usually more effective to give encouragement and praise when possible.

Some of them, yes. It’s often an addiction. Rehab may be useful to break that addiction if it’s causing enough harm.

The way you say this is important though. Addiction is not the fault of the person with the addiction. It’s a disease that needs treatment. Insulting people usually makes them hide away and it increases the behavior you’re trying to treat. If you go around fat shaming people then most of the time you’re instead going to re-enforce the behavior that’s causing issues.

I see what you’re saying, and I do recognize the logic in it — for someone that wants to change. I’ve known too many addicts that are perfectly fine with taking those positive affirmations and turning right back around and doing the exact same shit they’ve always done.

I guess my question is: what separates positive affirmations from enabling when the addict has no interest in change?

Have you seen what we look like now a days?

tbf that’s mostly because food producers put sugar into literally anything to sell more food, because it makes people addicted. no wonder people are obese.

Fair point, but there must be some personal accountability. Yeah, processed food producers find ways to get us addicted with their delicious sugar but you don’t have to eat everything in front of you. You don’t have to clear your plate every time. You can sneak a walk in every now and then.

That’s just cultural patriarchy. Its the same system that has existed in almost every culture around the world.

The dowry mechanism has changed, but its still more or less rich old men using their wealth to get women.

I dont know about you, but I dont look at trophy wives and think “oh what a soul mates they must be”. Im not looking at Melania Trump and thinking “oh it must be love”… no, that woman is bought and paid for (trafficked, likely) and thats the modern dowry.

its still more or less rich old men using their wealth to get women.

The vast majority of women who are in relationships with wealthier older men are by no means being forced to be with them.

They choose to date those men because they want to. They have agency, they can make their own decisions. It’s ironically quite misogynistic and infantilizing to claim that any woman who makes what you see as the wrong decision automatically must be a brainwashed slave of the man she’s with, as if men can literally hypnotize women into dating them against their will by showing them a bank statement with enough zeroes in it.

Oh come on your giving no agency to women. Women can have kinks also some are into old guys sure. The majority I imagine do it for the money. And who cares if that’s what they want let them.

It isn’t always a one way street. Many women realize that they prefer wealth to true love and willing seek out whomever has the fattest wallet as the person they want to be with. They tend to see relationships as transactional and don’t want to settle for less than top payment. I had a couple university friends like that and they were very open about looking for the highest bidder, age wasn’t a consideration.

This is just the “age is just a number” pedo defense with more words. Its fucking gross.

Men preying on younger women; the implicit power difference in wisdom and wealth… its all institutional patriarchy and misogyny. There is a limit. And before you go “but what about older women?” That’s fucking gross too. Its still the old preying on naive. But historically, culturally, it has been used to justify old men manipulating and abusing young women as sex objects.

If you’re defending this, then you’re defending the mechanism of misogynists, groomers and pedos. Fucking gross.

No pedos everyone is an adult and the irony of your comment. You think women can’t make decisions for themselves and must follow your views. Who cares what adults do the chances are the women is using the man for his wealth and the man for sex. Who cares.
