I don’t know that it would be, but he sure seems to think so. I think him trying so desperately to cover it up for so long has made it more damaging than it would have been if he’d just owned it when his cult was clamoring for the files to be released. He’d downplay it with his usual word salad, news articles would be written about how terrible it was, and nothing of consequence would happen to him. Now, though? It’s not just about the horrendous crimes, but his betrayal of his conspiracy theorist cult. Maybe it would still amount to nothing, but he hasn’t done himself any favors by alienating his cultists.
I’m still waiting for someone to explain to me how Trump will face repercussions for these crimes when he hasn’t for any other crimes. Who is going to prosecute him?
