Not to make light of the terrible constitutional crisis this nation is under, but ICE literally means “Immigration and Customs Enforcement”. It’s literally in the name that they won’t be going after gangs. So that statement is laughable at best.
Now, the military deployments, those could have been used for that reason.
Then again, in 🤡 world over here, I’m surprised there’s a distinction at all.

Whether or not the US should consider them illegal is a different story; but if they don’t have valid residency, they’re already breaking the law
You’re either trolling or genuinely out of the loop. They don’t care if they’re in the US legally or not, they’ve been deporting people with valid visas, green card holders and even US citizens. The Supreme Court decided it was ok for ICE to target people based on their appearance. Plus jumping the border isn’t a criminal offense, just a civil one, which is like saying we should deport people for speeding
I’m not out of the loop, and I’m not disagreeing with anything you said. I’m addressing what the meme content has, and calling out that it’s false. It’s much better to focus on the facts, like how people are dying in ICE detention centers, rather than lying to make a point

No, that’s how fascists work. Nobody said anything about unchecked immigration.
They hate minorities, so they make it near impossible for certain groups to immigrate legally. However they do absolutely nothing to punish employers who put those same groups to work at low pay, which undercuts the labor market, because what they really want is a slave class.
Ok but the question is why any type of immigration is illegal. The answer is because countries have rules about who can come in, and those rules are laws
