Profit does not matter for making money. Not when you’re rich. We’re after big valuations here, projected growth — speculation, baby!
The New York Stock Exchange was purchased by a derivatives exchange. Present-day P&L does not matter. Only whether you can sell your pitch for being a hundred-trillion-dollar company by 2032 well enough to get Forbes, BI, and Gartner to start jerking each other off.
But the AI is enabling a police state and making ultra-wealthy people ultra-super-wealthy! There aren’t supposed to be any downsides!
