    What gives your cited case any legitimacy? It seems like it’s just non-canon fan fiction with no official sanctioning by the franchise.

      I put official in quotation marks for a reason. To my knowledge, any character or timeline changes within STO are considered Beta canon. Was mostly just amused that the instance involved Kirk.

            I wasn’t concerned about any level of canon, but rather if the content was actually published by the franchise and not just some random fan unaffiliated with the rights to the characters and universe.

              The original poster made the origin of his/her post abundantly clear, both in the content/post and in the comments and was respectful towards your concerns. That’s why I requested that your comment Red Alert be downgraded to a Yellow Alert or perhaps even a “Hey, This is Cerritos and It’s Always Happy Hour” Alert.
