      It’s very human to make dark jokes during dark times. I honestly think the self-righteous overly serious virtue signaling does far more harm than the tasteless jokes.

      I thought that would happen when Melissa Hortman was assassinated in her home along with her husband and John Hoffman shot with his wife.

      Was in the news for a few days?

        I think the difference is celebrity. Nobody knew who Hortman was. Even after the attack, most people just knew it was some politician from a state legislature, not a name or a face. Kirk is very well known and his murder will have a much greater impact.

          Likely true - but the idea that somebody was literally hunting down Democrat lawmakers should have been “interesting enough” to be a major topic of conversation.

          Christ I’ve seen more news on some unknown billionaire dying in a fucking piece of shit submarine he made.
