• Do I need it right now to beat the next blind?
• Will it pay for itself? (Golden Joker, Business Card, Devil, etc)
• Will I eventually need it for Ante 8? (Jokers you know you will keep for endgame, planets for your most played hand, useful vouchers, deck fixing)
• Am I above the interest cap? (Random packs, mid/low-tier tarots, one reroll)
• Do I have way way way more money than I know what to do with? (Reroll spam)

Remember that the object of the game is not to make the biggest number possible. It’s to reach a set target score. When you know you’re ahead of the curve, you can afford to be stingier until the blinds start catching up to you, passing on temptation to only buy what you truly need.
