I guess my point is that giving that kind of control to fans doesn’t necessarily make a better end-product. Often, it dilutes what is there to cater to fan-obsessive bullshit.
I don’t think major studios are any different. Most of what I see when looking for new things to watch are franchises that seek to satiate the fandom. If fan based drivel is going to end up being a significant portion of films anyway I’d rather the money go to creators than executives

I don’t necessarily disagree. There’s a reason a lot of fan fiction is drivel.
I just think we’ve had platforms that already do this with mixed results. I don’t think it’s gonna be anything new we haven’t seen.

When was the last time your input on a kickstarter truly changed it? Or your opinion on an early access game title that changed it for the worse?
Yes, but specifically for film and media projects from the sound of it.
