Good luck… reddit admins/mods don’t like lemmy references. Only attempt if you don’t mind losing your account or permabans from whatever sub you post to.
That’s good to hear; so it’s likely certain mods/subs rather than a site-admin restriction then (at least until perhaps lemmy becomes too much competition…)
Just depends how big it is imo, I left in the Reddit api exodus because I saw some posts talking about Lemmy, I’m already aligned to FOSS support so it was an obvious choice.
Helped too that sync was made for Lemmy so quickly after :P
Plenty of mods on here are tools. I just think anyone who willingly donates their free time to be an internet cop probably has issues. You have to find satisfaction in doing something so meaningless and for free, which tells you all you need to know.
And I told you a few times already that the mod & admin there is part of the problem.
Edit: And we can add [email protected] to the list as well. This is getting ridiculously dumb on here. Bans me from [email protected] because I called out his trolling here: https://fedia.io/m/[email protected]/t/1620874/Germany-hits-62-7-renewables-in-2024-energy-mix-with-solar/comment/8810407#entry-comment-8810407

Called @[email protected] a bastard on a power trip, constant behavior of insults and hostility.
The specific insult at db0 was made today, a few hours before I saw it and acted upon it, then looked at the post history and removed further trolling.
Not all comments are ban-worthy when looked at individually but there is clearly a wider agenda at play. Just look at his bio: “Fediverse is worse than Reddit. Mod abuse, admin abuse, disinformation, and people simping for literal terrorists.” A person with the openly stated dogma that “Fediverse is worse than Reddit” is not active on the Fediverse to have actually meaningful discussions, he’s here to be hostile. He’s constantly flamebaiting, only to then play the victim card.
As for the specific comment linked in that quote: I’ve DMed to one of the mods there. I said that I accepted that my comment was wrong, said sorry, I should have just ignored it, and that it won’t happen again. I’ve since personally blocked him as well. I’m not getting lured by him any longer.
Should someone try to point them to here?
I mean…yes. eve if Luigi never existed, yes.
I do it regularly on /r/RedditAlternatives for Lemmy as a whole.
Maybe someone from [email protected] could create a post on /r/RedditAlternatives to promote this specific community
Does anybody else remember r/watchredditdie?
Did they just close it?
Great idea, go ahead and post in that subreddit
Wait a minute

I have mentioned Lemmy several times on /r/RedditAlternatives without any issue
Of course on other subs that would indeed get you in trouble
I mentioned Lemmy on r/onguardforthee and surprisingly my comment stayed up and garnered 15 upvotes.
Good to hear!

Are they really that sensitive?
Reddit mods? lol. Yeah.
It’s not like Lemmy mods are any better.
I’ve had zero issues with Lemmy mods.

I mod a few communities, usually just because I wanted them to exist.
Thankfully there’s isn’t that much janitor work to do.
You’re, from what I’ve seen, at least trying to be neutral and fair, but consequently maybe also kind of undecided.
Just like anyone who puts in time to be a real cop
It’s the second comment from you I see in a few hours about Lemmy mods.
Is there anything you want to document on [email protected] ?

Wait, that’s the reason?
@[email protected] , is there any other reason for that ban?
