In any good democracy the government doesn’t know where you moved to until you tell them. Hence the need.
They already know then they ask for taxes to be paid. Requirement for voter registration is voter suppression.
I think I tried Winamp back in the day but never really understood it.
What was there not to understand? It was a basic music player with playlist functionality, a plugin infrastructure to support playback of pirated music in underground formats like MP3, at the price of completely free and no ads (the website had banners but not the player).
“if voted” is different from “voted for”. In a true democracy it must not be traceable who someone voted for. It simply cannot be the case in a proper democracy that the people who voted for the opponent get punished for their vote after transfer of power.
It’s done online (and other methods) and very painless. If you don’t move, you never need to update your registration.
And in actual democracies you’re registered automatically when turning voting age (usually 18) and gets updates automatically when moving. Obviously, when you have a monarch, you’re not living in a true democracy.
So cite it as “via…” but linking to the original source, especially one without ads and user tracking, is obviously best practice. Nobody in their right mind would deny that, unless there is financial incentive to link to that ad-ridden site.
Edit: Also “Rule 9: Use the original source”
America isn’t a true democracy anyway with its Gerrymandering, two party system, and registration to vote.
I hate this type of headline. He is still living (hopefully), but you are not sure.
You didn’t even care to click on that link. He cast the vote already.

Skill issue then
there’s more to an operating system that a program needs other than the kernel(?)
Yes, and the other parts have other names, like the toolkit GTK or the C standard library glibc and all those things make up a Linux distribution, like Fedora.
android just uses the kernel
Yes and the kernel’s name is “Linux”. No other software is named “Linux”. Ask Linus Torvalds if you don’t believe me.
And yet somehow I still doubt we’ll see it until Linux gets a much higher marketshare.
CD Project is doing nothing to improve that market share, hence why I don’t care to spend any money on GOG.
GOG is funding the FOSS Heroic Games Launcher through an affiliate partnership
GOG has an affiliate links program. Heroic signed up for that. GOG isn’t specifically funding Heroic. Wake me up when CD Project / GOG is hiring a developer of Mesa or something along those lines. You know, an actual part of the technology foundation that’s being used by a wide range of Linux distributions.
An office worker sitting at a desk somewhere at a Linux-running PC is benefiting from technology advancements upstreamed by Valve as part of Steam Deck performance improvements.
Edit: GOG’s “funding” is an advertising tracker:
not doubtful, a lot of compositors, kwin included can run nested.
It’s not a question if some of Plasma Mobile could run in that VM. It’s a question if anything usable is possible. I highly doubt Google will make it possible to call phone numbers etc. in that VM.
With diffs sometimes around 5m lines of code (in case of qcom)
Nobody’s denying that. Many embedded distributions targeted special hardware are like that.
Phones don’t really have that
Can it run x86_64 programs
The article sound like it will work for x86 devices running Android as well. I don’t think this is about emulation.
Plasma Mobile for Android? 🤔
Doubtful. A VM doesn’t have access to the underlying hardware (unless explicitly passed through).
Hardly surprising.
