- Pulling anything from The Invisibles is just plain cheating. Anything Grant Morrison wrote, really. - That’s why I went with a tamer panel.

- Dude is one asymmetric pair of glasses from Spider Jerusalem - Ah. “Scramble the mantras” must be code for big time fucking up peoples’ guts, then - I was thinking the same thing
- big time fucking up peoples’ guts - At first I thought this was a sex thing, then I started reading and thought it would be a violence thing. Then I kept reading, and I became enlightened.

- Thank you for this. I saw a picture of Spider Jerusalem on a counter culture flyer over a decade ago and couldn’t find the source (I wanted those sweet glasses). When I read Invisibles I assumed I found it and it must’ve been Mob from some promo or alt art. - It was definitely Spider Jerusalem, I found the glasses, and now I get to read Transmetropolitan. - Enjoy! It’s really good.

- Even closer than that to being King Mob from The Invisibles. - Edit: based on what other people have posted, it is King Mob. I’ll see myself out.

Mob is just filling him in on simple facts. - “simple facts” - Strange, but simple

- I mean, getting shot in the throat has a way of doing that. - I suppose in a sense our life is a trance, traveling forward through time, and the coordinated nervous rhythms of our vital organs are “mantras” that maintain it.

- “You mean the revolver, sir?”
