Hi, I’m John Bierce, cheesy fantasy novelist (both in the sense of writing cheesy books, and in the sense of being full of the literal dairy product), and I was on SneerClub (using various accounts) since around… 2019, 2020? I’ve missed it since it fled Reddit, especially with all the rampant, stupid AI hype and TESCREAL bullshit running rampant right now.

I was on the old reddit /r/sneerclub, same username. Finally making an account here. I will probably post a few sneequence classics that haven’t been discussed mocked properly before.

I’ve been meaning to ask if Liv Boeree is on the radar. I’d seen her stuff recommended on YT and it seemed like innocuous sciencey stuff but instantly got the rationalist vibe. Then saw she was on Lex Fridman’s podcast. Looked into her a bit (wikipedia) and she is indeed in the effective altruism world https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Liv_Boeree
