There has been a off-handed remark I heard on The Delta Flyers that Colm must have had so much time off to film other things in his contract and Terry saying that is why they never got to do anything.
EDIT: Basically any time Colm isn’t in an episode of DS9, he was off filming other things.
Is that why she left DS9? I never new, I thought she quit to do another TV or movie or something.

iirc it’s a bit between, she wanted some flexibility in her schedule to pursue other projects while staying on DS9, Berman said “lolno get fucked”

She wanted less time on the series to do other things but Berman did allow it. So she was fired instead.
