    The biggest shift rightward of a youth democraphic ever recorded was during the 2024 election, the majority of Gen Z men voted for Trump and Trump also made large gains among Gen Z women even though the majority still voted for Harris.

    If not for Gen Z, Trump would have gotten less votes than in 2020.

      Youth vote turnout is always low, and it still net favored Kamala. Conversely Gen X vote participation was significantly higher, as expected from an older generation, and it was significantly more favorable to Trump.

      I’m not saying Gen Z’s right wing shift isn’t concerning, but it’s more a future problem. The 2024 election result is owned primarily by Gen X and Boomers (and Gen X more than Boomers, statistically).
