I care because anybody who didn’t vote for Kamala Harris in 2024 is a dumb asshole and responsible for all of this. People’s vote mattered and millions of people who voted for Biden were absent for Harris.
But now Trump is going to gerrymander every state until our vote is ten times smaller than it ever was. It doesn’t matter how we vote if they can just manipulate how much our vote contributes to the final electoral college. And then they just have to pay some more electors off.
Redistricting is usually handled by State congresses not Federal. Trump’s major contribution was to have his supreme court nominees sign off on the unfair redistricting.
