Honestly, I would thank the guy. Even blitzed out of his gourd he thought it was the right thing to do to risk his life to try and save my dog. Sounds like a stand up human being who just needs to learn how to measure his dosage amounts better. Too much buddy, but thanks for looking out.
I actually had to see for myself if this was for real, and apparently he drove his car through his neighbor’s fence in order to access (and subsequently destroy) the back door. I’m not sure how I’d feel about that on a random Tuesday lol.
But he was also charged with burglary on top of other things and I kinda feel that it’d be impossible to show he had any criminal intent, given that he was tripping balls to the point of hallucinating a fire
Well that much property damage and I’d be pretty pissed in the moment as well. Hard to say for sure, still If he honestly thought my dog was going to die and did all that, then it still shows that deep down they are a good person regardless if their actions turned out to be a mess.
I’m not even sure I’d be mad actually. I mean, I’d want the guy to pay for it, but assuming he’s just high as balls and not an actual psycho I’d give him a chance to fix his fuckup.
Like. Having a friend like this ensures that you will always have really good stories assuming you can maintain healthy boundaries.
yyyyyyyyes, but also it’s not like he “was driving”… he used a car to break through their fence in order to “save” the dog: he didn’t get in the car to go for a drive and accidentally ram it through the house
that’s not to say it’s okay, but they’re very different things. context and intent are important
Yeah I’m in a similar spot, I’d be pissed, but honestly, that wouldn’t be too bad of a repair cost. Exterior doors are like $200-400 for the builder grade ones it almost definitely was, and the fence would be similar cost. If it were me I’d want to drop the charges and just settle for a check for the repair cost and a good apology for going too hard on the acid
Since drugs tend to remove a person’s inhibitions, if someone cares about other people and creatures enough to risk their own life while tripping the light fantastic, that’s a good person right there.

Driving on LSD and DXM is something to be mad about. Good thing he broke a fence instead of killing kids.

Oh… my god hahahahaha thats so much funnier
Maybe they just didn’t believe his version of the story and thought it a post hoc rationalisation?
