U.S. Southern Command posted on social media, “Intelligence confirmed that the vessels were transiting along known narco-trafficking routes in the Eastern Pacific and were engaged in narco-trafficking operations,” though it did not provide evidence. It posted videos of each boat speeding through water before being struck by an explosion.
The military said three people in one vessel and two in the other were killed.
The attacks brought the total number of known boat strikes to 28 while at least 104 people have been killed, according to numbers announced by the Trump administration. President Donald Trump has justified the attacks as a necessary escalation to stem the flow of drugs into the United States and asserted the U.S. is engaged in an “armed conflict” with drug cartels.
Congratulations. You just shot a 1000 dollar boat with a 100.000 dollar missile. Very skillful. Much praise.
So we’re picking a war with Mexico too?
The US is gearing up to pick fights with a lot of countries. Now that Trump is sure the American people are too cowed to challenge him he’ll ramp up his takeover and begin his expansion.

before being struck by an explosion.
Such a weird way to put that…
Before being hit by an explosive? Before being hit by a missile?
The way they wrote that it sounds like they missed with the missile and the explosion struck them.
It’s that passive voice they use when talking about police brutality too. It wasn’t the missile fired by the US military that hit them, it was the explosion that hit them.
It’s no different than “man struck by baton in encounter with police.” Who struck the man here? The baton not the pig holding it.
Now that you explained it, that makes it even worse. Sigh. They’re just enabling them.
