My kids were born when I was 36. My wife was 35. What about that sounds like pedophilia to you?

It doesn’t sound like pedophilia, it sounds like a lack of reading comprehension.

I believe this is saying that this woman’s husband is 32 years older than her. That she is married to someone who was 32 years old when she was born.

Ok but who cares. He didn’t know her he didn’t groom her. They met when she was 25 what is the problem. We all know why the married each other and who cares.

It happens, I’ve been the one misreading before, it happens at a high rate here because of he tism and ADHD, lots of people here love Tylenol after all.

Its embarrassing af when it happens though. You go into full war mode then realize “shit… I messed up!”

          Same.

The key is in the reaction: ignore, acknowledge or double down.

If they double down, it’s unlikely the tism or a misread.

They didn’t double down so it’s all good.

Or I double down because I don’t want to be looked down and must win because otherwise I will think about this for weeks and nothing else and my wife will keep asking me what’s wrong and all I can say is “I’m fine” but im not fine I’m actually seething and crying in the shower because I was wrong on the internet and I can do nothing but hyperfocus on the fact that someone thinks im stupid seriously its running my life I’ll never recover…

Or yeah ignore, acknowledge works too.

It seems a way higher than reddit did. At least before the right wing takeover. I don’t get it. Is this what remotely attending high school then ai written essays did to the zoomers?

It seems a way higher than reddit did.

I doubt it. You have to at least be aware there are other social media platforms than mainstream ones, and then follow through with all the fediverse fragmentation.

There will always be outliers, but it’s not something dolts in redditors are known for.

I’m not sure how “observing other social media platforms existing” somehow makes my personal observations somehow wrong. I rarely had to repeat my arguments to the same degree like I do here, just to be understood.

It could be time, as I’ve not been on Reddit for a year or two. They both could be suffering the same wave of immigrant, I don’t know.
