Off topic, but is there a name for that grin/facial expression? It’s like technically a grin, yet devoid of any real emotion. Feels like it’s trying to not commit too much into an emotion, maybe even for calculated social engineering reasons. I see it in the Godot logo as well.
In my head, I’ve taken to calling it “the autistic stare” due to the confused/vague communication of an emotion, but idk if that’s offensive.
I did some googling and found this. Not sure if it’s the most common name for it or not, because I’ve never heard it:
I call it the Psychopath Grin.
It’s because actual, genuine smiles usually involve the eyes. In Mr.Beast’s case, he just has still, dead, emotionless eyes, that when accompanied by his grin, makes him look like he’s enjoying watching some sick, perverted shit, instead of expressing joy or happiness.
For sure offensive, but definitely hits the right note. It’s “I don’t know how to smile, it’s just teeth, right?” smile
Hm, I can’t remember the name of it, but I do recall some discussion about why smiles look fake with regard to “hide the pain harold”. The conclusion seemed to be that it’s just how his face is.
