It feels pretty disingenuous to ignore that the “legal” pathway to immigration is a matter of years and thousands of dollars; which pretty much always blocks asylum seekers. Now it’s also a matter of the luck to not be born into the “wrong” countries.
OOP’s wife will be illegal the moment she steps foot in this country, and OOP and I can agree that’s ridiculous. I just extend the same to lots and lots of other people.
Illegals and immigrants are different things. Its not fake its a person being honest about their situation and feelings.
