This budget seems to have a case of mistaken identity. Instead of asking for sacrifices from those able to make them, they are leaning on individuals and sectors already struggling.
I’m not sure I’d call not getting even more funding for these programs a “sacrifice”, however nice that would be. Sacrifice implies something you had and then lost.
It’s federal employees that are really going to feel the pain under the plan. And maybe people who need them; I’m guessing not as much is unnecessary as Carney thinks.
