    Yeah if there’s one thing the system loves, it’s leaving ex-cons destitute and likely to reoffend because they can’t function on the outside.

            Except that in American private prisons it’s perfectly legal to force someone to manufacture goods for sale without paying them. Slavery was banned in the USA… except in prison.

            In related news, the USA incarcerates a huge proportion of its population compared to other countries, and the incarceration rate for black men is disproportionately high.

              Its a lot deeper than that. Living under capitalism means you dont eat if you dont work. Working is enforced by threat of violence. Literally all us except the rich are slaves
