Elfen Lied and Speedgrapher both immediately spring to mind. Unless you mean porn. Those are not porn.
Speed grapher got me with the intro song ngl.
They changed the intro song when it was released on DVD. When the show was originally airing, the intro was “Girls on Film” (グラビアの美少女) by Duran Duran; the version on my official (Funimation) DVD copy has “Shutter Speed” instead though which is much less memorable.
Seriously?! Man…Duran Duran on that was fire. Can’t believe it they would change it.
Yeah. I expect it was probably some licensing bullshit like either they couldn’t get the rights again for the re-release or it cost to much to get them, but I don’t know why they did it specifically. It irked me when I realized they’d changed it though.
Girls On Film is the theme song still if you swap the DVD version to the Japanese audio for the intro
Not on my copy – I double checked before posting.
Could be there’s a different version of the DVDs with it though. 🤔️

Hands down Ninja Scroll.
Though I also find La Blue Girl–an actual hentai series–to be more funny than it is sexy, because the plots and puns are just fucking amazing and the sex is (mostly) bog standard stuff. Except for that time a dude “air fucked” one of the protagonists with a bellows because they didn’t want to have their dick cut off by her super vaginal strength.
La blue girl was extremely well written… so many laughs.
Isn’t that how you get embolisms?
Not if you’re a cartoon. Then you just get inflated like a balloon.
Lived my whole life and never considered becoming a cartoon. Perhaps I should reconsider my career choices.
Gushing Over Magical Girls.
Highschool DxD is pretty amazing. Yes, it has copious amounts of nudity (mainly just breasts), but the plot, characters, and power system are actually so good! I generally only really like SoL and Romance anime, but sometimes the blend of power systems and SoL just balance out so well - A Certain Scientific Railgun is like that too!
Is that actually R18+?
It depends if it’s the uncensored version and what part of the world you’re in. It hovers around TV-MA and 18+ based on the content laws of a country.

Probably Berserk. Or maybe Ghost In The Shell + Ghost In The Shell: Standalone Complex seasons 1 and 2.
Both are truly mature in terms of writing as well as subject matter.
Ghost In The Shell gets really deep into the political ramifications of potential future technologies through the lense of a sci-fi action crime drama. 18+ for some extreme violence and naked/often scantily clad cyborgs with no nipples.
Berserk is mostly about found family and overcoming trauma through the lense of a guy with a huge sword in a medieval low-fantasy setting. 18+ for extreme violence, sex, sexual violence, torture, child abuse, I mean just most bad things people do are in there at some point or another. It’s considered horror anime by some.
Ninja Scroll. Earns every penny of its rating
Psycho Pass. 18+ for intense violence
Psycho Pass season 1 was phenomenal, but it kinda fell off after season 1.
I feel like Ghost In The Shell Standalone Complex holds up better, overall.
Oh absolutely. Season 2 was bad and I don’t know what the fuck Season 3 was. (The botched Amazon exclusivity release didn’t do it any favors)
I only own Season 1 on Blu-ray and ignore the other seasons quite strongly
Yeah, that’s fair. Psycho Pass Season 1 was a complete banger.
SAC FTW
Does Takopi’s Original Sin count? Definitely not one for kids.
Oh gods, that was a hard 6 episodes to get through… but it was well worth it.
Of the ones I’ve seen, probably Berserk. And that’s without an actual anime adaptation that gives it proper justice.
Depends on what you’re looking for.
For me, I loved Golden Boy for the humor and stories. It’s not really like others with lots of fighting and violence. It’s 18 because of the mature sexually suggestive themes of the show. The second to last episode is the most sexually explicit with a woman doing stuff on a motorcycle and the first episode has tons of female body imagery that is very exaggerated.
So far everyone else here seems to share the anime that is more focused on fighting.
Is that the source of that one motorcycle clip from AMV Hell?
I’m personally not familiar with AMV Hell but, going to cover this in spoiler to explain the exact scene from Golden Boy and give a summary of the show’s premise so you can compare:
Tap for spoiler
The whole Golden Boy anime is 5 episodes long and revolves around this guy, Kintaro, who is obsessed with women but he is also quite oblivious. The show follows him as he rides his bicycle around Japan doing odd jobs and meeting various women. In episode 4, Kintaro is riding his bicycle and a motorcycle passes him at a high speed and it turns out to be a very sexy woman riding the motorcycle. Kintaro follows her and eventually learns that she has a hideout where she keeps her motorcycle and she is, as literally as she can, having sex with her motorcycle. Well, more like getting off, sexually, to the motorcycle in an almost nude way, as she continually pulls the accelerator. She tells Kintaro that men just don’t do it for her like her motorcycle can.
Sounds like it could be, but unclear. Thanks!

You want 18+ for violence? Look up Inuyashiki. Doesn’t get mentioned enough. NOT to be confused with Inuyasha!
If you want risqué content… anime is not great for this due to censorship. If you wanna go hard, look up Redo of Healer. If you want something a bit more meaningful, look up Elfen Lied and TRY not to think of the context it unwittingly gives to SPYxFAMILY (specifically what it says about pink haired girls with horns and superpowers… more specifically the implication that Anya may be a diclonius).
