It’s a shame no one with the opportunity is willing to play dirty with him, really put the screws to him in a way MAGA will understand.

“If you respect Charlie Kirk’s work so much, why do you remain an idol-worshiping papist?”

“When will your wife be deported?”

“Does it bother you that none of your children are American?”

“Is your support of the Israeli genocide of Palestinians meant to ensure you accompany your wife to hell?”

“Did you realize your soul was irredeemably damned, before, or after, you killed the Pope?”

I want to see some 4chan-tier, weapons-grade, IRL shitposting directly addressed to him every time this spineless jackass appears in public, not milquetoast nonsense about a babyfaced couchfucker.

I really want to slam anyone who uses the word “slam” in a headline… Slam them right into the mouth of a wood chipper. It’s so cringe.

I think they’re doing a good job of writing for the common denominator of their audience. It comes out as trashy writing, because that’s what the audience wants. The failure of education is what’s taking down journalism.

It’s referenced in the movie, Idiocracy, and I think it’s even more accurate now. I believe we’ll continue to see further increases in grandstanding and violent, partisan rhetoric in journalism and maybe even courts of law until we find a way to turn things around. In the meantime, it’s pretty much just a WWE match and the news media are the bombastic commentators.

Parks and Rec has a good analogy for this in “Crazy Ira and the Douche.” They’re not stupid. They’re just talking down to their audience.

Edit: Grammar (I’m aware of the irony. Although, now that I’m aware of it, is it still ironic?)

I don’t think they even put that much thought into it. I really believe it was trial and error of “oh… That trashy headline got more clicks. More of that please!” And that was the end of the thought process.

You put more thought into their actions than they did, collectively.

…but the reason those headlines got more clicks was the lack of education.

You can argue about whether there was intent or not behind it, but that explanation was why this is happening.

If she doesn’t convert, does he have to divorce her for being a heathen? Let’s see these far-right cretins start acting with the conviction they pretend to have.

Conservatism and hypocrisy are a Venn diagram that’s nearly a circle, so that seems unlikely
