One awakes to new horrors each day. And it is difficult to grasp – and painful to realize – just how far gone we are, and how quickly it has happened.

Trump may be the catalyst, but he couldn’t do anything alone. He has hundreds of MAGA federal officials and tens of millions of Americans propping him up, as well as benefiting from a spineless (with one notable recent exception) Democratic Party that willingly became the face of a broken status quo.
Can’t put direct blame on Dear Leader, after all.
