Turns out anti-vaxxers weren’t just wrong, they were the polar opposite of right.

Depends on what the anti-vaxx stance is based on. If they’re worried about unintented side effects, then this technically just acts as further evidence for that belief. It’s not a negative side effect in this instance but a side effect nevertheless.

Most anti-vaxxers were all about how the COVID vaccine will kill you in 3-5 years.

Then it turns out that in some instances the vaccine actually extends your life.

That, I’d call a polar opposite.

That’s not really accurate. That idea came from the loudest fringe voices online, not the majority. Surveys during the pandemic showed that most unvaccinated people were worried about safety, long-term side effects, or didn’t trust the government or pharma companies - not predicting mass death. It’s fine to criticize bad reasoning, but it’s still worth being honest about what people actually believed.

I got my flu and COVID vaccines yesterday. Hoping to prevent cancer or something. Slightly sore arm, but no flu feelings.

Those “clot shot” idiots, JFC. The J&J vaccine had a higher stroke risk than Moderna, so they jumped on it trying to “warn” everyone that getting the vaccine was terrible.

Meanwhile, stroke risk is higher in COVID patients without any vaccine. But can’t let facts seep into their ivermectin-soaked noggins.

i’m about to be wrecked… just got my flu n covid shot… i will be cold sweating the rest of the weekend.

anything to help protect my elderly peers… i’ll take the cancer thing as a boon…

…i do wish there was an alternative that was less disruptive. but this is why i plan a weekend.

Meh. I got flu, covid, pneumonia, and tdap, all in one day last month.

I was fully expecting to be miserable for days, but instead I’m just magnetic and have a slight case of autism.

i envy you. medicine in general just wrecks me…

for instance, i took a single xyzal… slept 13 hrs. woke up… cut the grass. after i finished i truly woke up. i swore i was dreaming. i did a shit/dangerous job.

second example… when i got my wisdom teeth removed… just the anesthesia made me forget an entire week. like my mom didn’t fill any pain med rx. i was just fucked up and lost a week…
