Also TIL the difference between Opossum and Possum, the white ones who play dead are from North America, while the brown sugar-glider looking friends only live in Australia, New Zealand, and China. They’re not the same at all, and in fact Possums are too friendly, don’t play dead, and will literally walk up to people.

Australian possums are monsters in New Zealand who even the biggest tree hugger there doesn’t shed too many tears over them being disposed of.
