Swedish diplomats have the right to visit Thunberg,

Swedish diplomats did meet with her, as did a lawyer.

there are all sorts of pressure tactics they can use, if her welfare is danger.

In danger from what…bed bugs? Prison food?

One of the deported activists who arrived at Istanbul airport on Saturday recounted shocking details of what he described as ‘brutal assaults’ on some activists during their detention, telling reporters: “They dragged little Greta (Thunberg) by her hair in front of our eyes, beat her, and forced her to kiss the Israeli flag. They did everything imaginable to her as a warning to others.”

Given these kinds of reports, diplomats would need to make sure to keep meeting with her and keep pressuring to get to the bottom of any mistreatment allegations.
