The $10/day daycare has been quite an improvement, however, there is definitely a lag in supply to meet the demand.
I do think a right to access to daycare with clear standards of education and care should exist. It really makes economic sense, both with more jobs in that industry, while also allowing parents to return to their jobs faster. They also wouldn’t need to choose between returning to work to barely offset the cost of daycare or just staying at home.
We could offer free daycare and Alberta would still find a way to reject it.

Could it be, yes! Will it be, I doubt it. It should be something supported by both sides (kids), but goodness help you if you suggest we should all pay for a net good.
