Strong disagree, Dwight was there at the end of the series and the end of the series was the worst part of the series. If he was such a strong and compelling character on his own wouldn’t have been able to carry it without Steve Carell there?

It doesn’t matter how strong your acting is if the writing or direction are garbage, that said I never got into The Office (second hand embarrassment too much) so idk what the issue(s) were.
Yeah, Game of Thrones, Weeds, Dexter, etc are a few examples of shows with beloved characters that could not make up for bad writing. Was the same for House of the Dragon season 2 also.
Writing is the most important foundation, and actors can’t hide bad writing.
