Sorry for the down votes, I know the OP makes some good points in a comment in this thread.

Fact is, none of us believe the fucking mouth piece Utah Governor, Crack Eyes Petel with the FBI, or anyone involved in law enforcement here.

They all have a reason and agenda to make this seem to be something other than what it is, a white guy driven crazy by the bullshit fear mongering they use to control their base.

    Fuck them, all.

Cox made it a point to tell NBC that “friends that have confirmed that there was kind of that deep, dark internet … culture and these other dark places of the internet” where Robinson “was going deep”. The governor did not elaborate – though on Saturday, citing the work of law enforcement, he told the Wall Street Journal that “it’s very clear to us and to investigators that this was a person who was deeply indoctrinated with leftist ideology.”

I am really hesitant to believe the governor here. Deep dark internet culture sounds to me like 4chan and groypers. It feels like even if he was a right winger, they’ll try hard to spin it.

He’s hedging here… and admitting that he is not impartial.

On Sunday, in a separate interview, CNN’s Dana Bash asked Cox to elaborate on his comments to the Journal.

“That information comes from the people around him, from his family members and his friends – that’s how we got that information,” Cox told CNN. “There’s so much more that we’re learning, and so much more that we will learn.”

Bash also asked Cox whether the roommate’s status was relevant to the investigation and a potential motive. The governor replied, “That is what we are trying to figure out right now.”

“I know everybody wants to know exactly why, and point the finger,” Cox said. “And I totally get that. I do, too.”

Yet Cox said he had not read all interview transcripts compiled by investigators, “so I just want to be careful … and so we’ll have to wait and see what comes out.”

Can’t imagine why no one trusts the guy who said they prayed to god it wasn’t one of ‘us’ when he now says the shooter wasn’t one of ‘us.’

They can say whatever they want, but it’s all accusations unless he shows us the receipts. I don’t believe the business about etchings on bullet casings that keeps getting repeated without seeing them. Put up or shut up.

“What a relief! He may not have been trans, but he considers trans people to be human, so he isn’t one of us after all.”

“If this had forced us to do any introspection to figure out how our culture could have raised a murderer like this, then the Radical Left Terrorists would have won!”

    Vague comments are vague.

He could support every shitty maga ideal with the exception of his personal experience leading to support of his roommate and conservatives would call that one difference a radical leftist ideology. The governor is just trying to circle back to blaming support of trans rights.

It is striking how many of these shills are willing to jeopardize their entire careers over a despicable opportunity.

It almost seems like some people are scared of not pushing the party agenda. I wonder what could have possibly happened to make them feel that way. Like if you don’t do as you’re told the threat is way worse than just not being reelected?

Humans are complicated and often defy attempts at easy categorization, the only person who can tell us the actual motive has lawyered up.

Pretty sure the trans person he was dating will be more than capable of giving context.
