I 100% assume that the McDonald’s employee who called on him is fake in some way, and they tracked him down through some kind of spy apparatus shit and just don’t want to give away their methods.
I have no evidence and I don’t really know how these things work, it just seems way way more plausible to me.
The method that totally wouldn’t have been used was to have a foreign ally in Five Eyes track all cell phones and correlate the information with security cameras. Then they share the intelligence with the US. Technically on the edge of legal but they know the shit storm if americans generally knew how surveilled they are. We literally would hand them all our related files, ask them to spot suspects, and hand us back the answer. The soaking version of surveillance.
Part of the point of the Snowden leaks was that they don’t completely give a shit about those limitations. I’m sure the details vary in various parts of the apparatus, but as I understand it they don’t even really bother with the fig leaf anymore (even as of that pretty long ago time at this point).
That could be.
I’m still vouching for the “conspiracy” that Luigi actually didn’t do anything but was selected as a lookalike scapegoat. The similar looks is what prompted the McDonald employee to call, and they incompetently called the police instead of the tip line.
Proving Luigi wasn’t there somehow would be their job in court. Considering he was arrested, there may not be a clearly provable alibi like in To Kill A Mockingbird.
A good defense team doesn’t go around screaming what their defense strategy is going to be. Just because they aren’t telling YOU, doesn’t mean they have a bad defense strategy. They drop their bombs when the time is right.
Yeah. Sometimes for high-profile cases, lawyers have a habit of giving press conferences and things, but that’s kind of an exception to the norm and not necessarily a good idea I think.
Not really… “not guilty” can mean, he didn’t do it, or else he was temporarily insane because he was in pain from his medical condition, or even Ed Snowden’s “yeah I did it and it was illegal but at the end of the day I was right to do it and I think I can convince a jury of that.” Or just the OJ Simpson “let’s talk about something else for a while and change the subject” defense. It could be a lot of things.
But I do get it that that might be their defense and they’re just not saying anything about it because they’re waiting for the trial to lay out anything at all about it.
Even if the tip was useful they can just claim to wasn’t and just not pay it out. Not like there’s an oversize process for it. Once they have the guy they can find the trail with whatever data they have and say they did it without the tip.
It’s like the police always saying that they find a “passport” in the truck after some terrorist attack. They have inside informers and they don’t want to disclose them.
this isn’t a conspiracy theory to the people saying it is. these systems are well attested to exist already. predictive policing is already being used. fucking watch yourselves. big brother sees all.

They didn’t track him down because he wasn’t the shooter.
Oh come on. You really think rich people and the police protecting them would let a millionnaire killer run free?
They need a scapegoat, but what they need more is the certainty that the shooter won’t do more damage.
It can’t be luigi because he was at my house at that time.
I can vouch for that.
Yeah he ate my crunchwrap supreme right when it happened, was mad at first but we cool now, so couldn’t have been him
If he ate your crunchwrap, he deserves prison. I said what I said.

I haven’t heard that his defense team is trying to claim that… I feel like if that was reality they would have. Maybe not, but I feel it.

What would the defense say? “That wasn’t him, just someone who looks similar.”
They already claim that by pleading innocent at the start.

Well thats the thing. Nobody in the history of court has plead innocent. Thats not a thing. You can plead guilty, no contest, or not guilty.
And “not guilty” isn’t the same as “innocent”
I’m sorry I don’t know all the arcane incantations of your court system of the top of my head.
Oh 100%. And I know these fucks are so incompetent that they’re rolling out the same ad as cover for the same spyware to do the same shit.
Ok, I’ll accept this conspiracy theory and add to it:
It was actually the surveillance software in the AI drive through.
Hi, I’m a near ghost that has evaded capture against all odds, would you mind holding my bag o’ incriminating evidence while I order some nuggets?
President Not-Dead is excited about nuggies in his Huggies
he was inside the mcdonald’s though he didn’t use the drive thru
i agree that it’s all parallel construction from some illegal surveillance though
That’s what they WANT you to think.

Most of the world is being spied in with AI cameras, streets, Walmart, etc. most likely even McDonald’s cameras.
