A 32-year-old man Mexican man died of unknown causes on Sunday after being detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement at a private prison in Arizona, authorities confirmed.
12 people have died in ICE custody this year
That’s honestly much lower than I thought. That’s probably just the people that they haven’t been able to hide because of actual inquiries from family, friends, and news, leaving out the individuals without anyone actively searching for them.
They were murdered by Nazis
I don’t think some of those people understand that, like Rome, nazi Germany wasn’t built in a day. It wasn’t like 1939 hit, and suddenly, there were death camps and concentration camps housing thousands of Jews. They started out kinda rounding them up indiscriminately and processing them through existing infrastructure.
Yeah, Anne Frank’s family wasn’t intentionally hiding from some big scary death camps… They were hiding from deportation. Germany was deporting jews, and the Franks went into hiding to avoid deportation. Death camps weren’t even really on their radar. They knew prison was likely, and that the conditions in those prisons weren’t great. But they didn’t realize just how bad the camps were, until they were already there.
Way more than that, without a doubt. We’re only hearing about the deaths of people who were in contact with family and friends on the outside and could be proven dead to a third party journalist.
They’re called concentration camps
