I just remember you could hit ctl or alt and it would jiggle the screen. If you did it too much, it would void the game due to tilt.

It basically simulated the real world pinball machines that you could smack or jostle a little too when the ball got stuck or was about to roll straight down the middle. They would lock up when the players did that too obviously, both to keep the machine from damage and, since those were generally arcade machines, so the players would buy another round.

I remember we put the front feet of the pinball machine on our metal cap boots (the thing isn’t light!) and the game didn’t care (after calming down). It didn’t really help though, the ball was just like slower, but it was fun.

Yes indeed! They also had the Good Times video.

Shame on Micro$oft, they didn’t even give proper credit where credit is due…

Finally… The search is over. I have wanted to find this song and video for years. I only remembered the feeling of it but not the lyrics or musician and I just knew it came with our first PC ever, but had no clue as to why or where it came from. I was obsessed with the song, mostly due to the singer’s voice.

Thank you for bringing this up, you have made a random internet stranger very happy today.

                You’re very welcome.

I totally get your feeling there, I had to jump down that rabbit hole years ago with only two main tidbits of information, GOODTIME.AVI and Geffen Records.

Seriously, shame on M$ for not dropping proper credits to Edie Brickell, she’s a wonderful singer!

I think it was always EA, but I see how you could think the logo represented 3 letters. But yeah, back when that logo existed EA was a great company.

Ya, my young self assumed that the logo was ECA stylized into the square, circle and triangle and it was for “EleCtronic Arts”. I was more interested in playing the games (soooo many hours spent on Starflight) than learning about the company.
