Last month, Prime Minister Carney said many of Canada’s tariffs on the U.S., on goods that comply with the Canada-U.S.-Mexico trade agreement, will come down starting Sept. 1.
The tariffs go away but the prices don’t have to drop if the board of directors decides everyone’s already adjusted to the new normal so they’ll just pocket “savings” and leave prices alone. Wouldn’t want to create any waves in the markets by suddenly dropping prices, anyway I’m sure.
