A new psychological study has found that people who report favorable views of Donald Trump also tend to score higher on measures of callousness, manipulation, and other malevolent traits—and lower on empathy and compassion. The findings, based on two large surveys of U.S. adults, shed light on how personality traits relate to political beliefs, including support for Trump and conservative ideology. The research was recently published in the Journal of Research in Personality.

Yeah. They were great about condemning child abuse while still making sure to protect the rapists.

A “progressive pope” is like a “good republican”: They don’t fucking exist

        Well, it is a spectrum.

While I don’t love the idea of having a Romney in the White House…I’d take it over Taco. I’m not sure that makes Romney “good”, but it definitely would be a lot less bad than conservatism unchained like it is under Taco.

I don’t pay too much attention to popes because, well, I just don’t give a fuck and religion has zero authority over me in a secular nation. But I do realize it’s a spectrum there, too, and if they elect someone who has more modern views on things - I guess that’s good for the people that look to popes for what to think and do?

Can you really claim your views are modern when you’re protecting pedophiles?

Also if nazis are voting for you you’re already on the shit end of the spectrum

I mean, yeah. It is great to pretend you are progressive while still supporting and enabling the rape of children. Well, I don’t think so. But you do you.

That’s like saying “from the standpoint of a sea the Caspian Sea isn’t that big”

PR aside, every single Pope has been the head of one of the oldest and most conservative organizations in the world, and almost certainly THE organization with the most child rape of any in absolute numbers.

That’s not a post that allows for much ACTUALLY progressive action, no matter how much press it gets when you say “LGBTQ+ people are actually people and Palestinians might be too”
