    most older people don’t

Again, i have not found a single person while having conversations on tje public trsnsit and streets of los angeles whos hostile. At most they’re in the ‘well he did a bad thing, but i get it’ camp.

    universally reviled

yeah that helps. Also the plan popping off helps. Americans have no sympathy for failure.

    not associated with a movement

Im not so sure that couldn’t work. Know more than one who turned left because of that act. The considerations are complex, but, like, there’s probably a way. I’ll leave it to the pro violence doers.

‘Acceptable’ and ‘unacceptable’ also much narrower criteria. A lot of the people i talk to saying ‘i dobt like murder but i understand it/dont hold it against him’ might say ‘unacceptable.’

And not everyone everywhere is going to be sympathetic. Thats fine. If the people of bootlick arkansas want to die in chains, that is their perogative.

I’m not generally for or against, just pointing out that it works sometimes and does spark dialogue. Even if its more complicated than ‘do crime be popular’.

Oh, also, should be noted: people lie about their values and preferences. Especially around violence.

Not like maliciously, just bevause that’s what you say. Especially in a public context-like a poll.

And plenty don’t actually know what they believe/believe in nothing re: abstract principles.

Nobody likes war for war’s sake, but plenty of people have never seen a war they didnt like.

So im not sure a lot of people really can answer the question polled with any honesty.
