Asking because I’m one of those women nd I’m wondering how normal this is?
Does “femboys” count as a type?
I’m actually kind of soft-hearted for the geek type. Not the socially dysfunctional ultra-nerd type, but rather the people who have an area of expertise that matches their area of passion.
Like my SO is an electrical engineer who’ll happily talk anybody’s ear off about the weird stuff he makes for fun and profit at home. I don’t understand more than about one word in four when he goes off on it, but his obvious happiness and passion for something unconventional is just a source of joy for me.
In the past I’ve had that kind of relationship with a people who were that way about specifically motorcycles, quilting, computers, etc.
this is so sweet 😭
I didn’t think so until someone pointed out a disproportionate number of bald dudes with ginger beards in my past.
The type I like to idealise or fantacise about are all triangular, himbos and f o r e a r m s but the type I’d like to actually be with are softer, squidgier and silly, somebody that is just going to be fun to be with.
I have a soft spot for nerdy men that are also a bit muscular and a little insecure. Otherwise I usually don’t find men interesting
Is good hygiene a type?
Yes. Billy Idol and other blonde English dudes (e.g., Sting, Johnny Lee Miller, Spike from BTVS [yeah the actor is from California but I’ll overlook it!]).
But in person, I like an easygoing, jovial personality who makes people around them feel good. Someone who doesn’t punch down. Someone who is educated but not beyond a dumb fart joke when the situation calls for it. Someone who is kind even when he doesn’t have to be. Someone who takes care of his body. Someone who isn’t afraid to be vulnerable and also isn’t afraid of female tears.
Occasionally I’ll find myself physically attracted to a person I assume is a man. Then I’ll find out they’re some flavor of trans, or he says/does something unattractive.
