    As someone who grew up outside the US and lives here now, I understand how incomprehensible it can be that there’s not a full uprising against the current fascist coup.

    It’s important to remember that the no major policy outcome has reflected public opinion since the end of the civil rights era. We’ve had three generations that have only known oligarchy.

    It’s not so surprising that it’s hard to convince people in the states that they can affect the affect the government - no one since boomers has.

      They went and pulled up the ladder there too. Boomers won’t retire from government and that’s why we are in this mess. They’ve also practically made it illegal to protest. Still holding on…
