Being “complete bigoted assholes” are how we, as a society keep errant members in check. It’s a feature of the tribalism inherent in humanity. Scoffing at someone being a thief, for example - we don’t consider that “bigoted”, only because we all mostly agree that it’s bad.
Trans people are errant society members who need to be kept in check by completely bigoted assholes?
I mean, that’s what society is attempting to do, yes.
